Hello!

My name is Amy Walkers, and I am the Managing Director of Start Ops. I have a degree in French and Linguistics from Queen Mary, University of London, and a Masters in Forensic Linguistics from Cardiff University. I grew up in the flat, barren lands of Lincolnshire and left for the bright lights of London as soon as I could. I still live in east London, via Nice and Melbourne.

When I’m not at at my desk, you’ll probably find me up a mountain on a really long walk, playing tennis or padel, on my paddleboard, or on a horse (trying not to fall off either).

Start Ops particularly welcomes working with companies that are doing good in the world and those that champion diversity and women-led business. I certainly aim to focus on these for my own business. 

I have made a commitment to donating a proportion of the business’s monthly revenue to support breast cancer charities. Having come through the other side of this disease myself, I am keen to support others going through it now.
